Did Tea Party Bankrollers Know That Occupy Wall Street Was Imminent?

Ugh – I’m going to be wordy. Bear with me. Therapeutic blog postings are my favorite as previously seen here, here, and here.  Alternatively, you can skip to the last few paragraphs (See: green font) if you’d rather not bore yourself with a bunch of text.

I flipped on the TV earlier today to a reporter asking, “Is the Occupy Wall Street movement the left’s equivalent of the Tea Party?” Infuriated by this analogy, I turned off the TV and continued on with my day…until now.

As is well documented, the ‘Tea Party’ movement is a complete and utter joke financed by some of America’s largest corporations and richest people.

See: http://www.forbes.com/sites/clareoconnor/2011/03/10/billionaires-list-koch-brothers-right-wing-bankrollers/

I repeat, the ‘Tea Party’ – in its entirety – is a farce.  Since 2009, Tea Party bankrollers have staged anti-government (a.k.a. pro-big business) rallies with hopes that uneducated, impressionable, lonely, meek and eager, etc Americans would find a calling. A calling to push back against an intrusive government that is stripping societal freedoms and overtaxing its citizens.

Name any federal tax increase you’ve realized or any right the government has taken away since 2009. You can’t. Nor, can any given ‘Tea Party’ member. So, why is there a need for a ‘grassroots’ anti-government movement? Because corporations (no, Mitt – they’re not people) are concerned about the bottom line and they need votes.

What was the end result of the ‘Tea Party’ being born after the 2008 presidential race? Distraction from the nation’s most pressing issues as the aforementioned sheep collectively voted in some of the most bizarre candidates that have ever run for political office. To do what? For one, destroy public unions.

Whoa, union busting? How do public unions have anything to do with government interfering in our lives? They obviously don’t. But, for example, if you can decrease, freeze, or eliminate a teacher’s pay, this will ultimately result in less taxes. Since the middle class hasn’t seen a significant tax increase in decades, who would benefit from less taxes? You guessed right – the ultra rich. The 1%. The Tea Party bankrollers. The same group that will finally see their debt piling tax cuts expire in 2011.

See: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703467304575383131306753688.html

In the name of efficiency, American workers are being asked to achieve the unachievable while being paid less in an attempt to improve the bottom line. Who does an increased bottom line benefit? You guessed right – the ultra rich. The 1%. The Tea Party bankrollers.

If you’re fortunate enough to secure employment, the workload that exists from producing significantly more with significantly less has devastating consequences. No longer can somebody graduate from school, get a job, and stay employed for 40 years (or 5 years for that matter) until they retire as a member of the middle class. From speaking to those with much more professional experience than I have, it’s clear today’s insane workplace hasn’t always been the norm. Moreover, what I’ve experienced firsthand over the last few years is the definition of wage slavery. Thus, a movement like ‘Occupy Wall Street’ was born.

It is despicable for a member of the media to compare the ‘Tea Party movement’ to ‘Occupy Wall Street’ especially since confronting corporate wrongdoings shouldn’t be a political issue. The following are some initiatives laid out by ‘Occupy Wall Street’ members…

  • Wall Street and corporate America must invest in America: Big corporations should invest some of the $2 trillion in cash they have on hand, and use it to create good jobs. And the banks themselves should be making credit more accessible to small businesses, instead of parking almost $1 trillion at the Federal Reserve.
  • Stop foreclosures: Banks should write down the 14 million mortgages that are underwater and stop the more than 10 million pending foreclosures to stop the downward spiral of our housing markets and inject more than $70 billion into our economy.
  • Fund education and jobs by taxing financial speculation: A tax on financial transactions could raise hundreds of billions in revenue that could fund education and create jobs rebuilding our country. And it would discourage speculation and encourage long term investment.

Who feels threatened by these anti-big business initiatives? You guessed right – the ultra rich. The 1%. The Tea Party bankrollers.

So, yes, I’m proposing Tea Party bankrollers understood there would eventually be a movement like ‘Occupy Wall Street.’

See: http://canadianclimateaction.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/citigroup-oct-16-2005-plutonomy-report-part-1.pdf

And, in an attempt to delegitimize this anticipated uprising, these masterminds created a nonsensical movement called the ‘Tea Party’ in hopes the general public, mainstream media, politicians, etc would discredit extremism on both sides of the political spectrum and thus squash a rightful uprising by America’s 99%.

I fully expect manufactured ‘Occupy Wall Street’ violence within the next coming days/weeks/months that will cast a shadow on the worthwhile movement. It’s a shame to think – even after surviving 2000-2008 – how rapidly our country continues to deteriorate.

Update 1: On October 5th – above – I mentioned manufactured violence would make its way into the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ movement. Here’s an October 21st O’Reilly Factor (of course) segment evoking such ‘violence.’

Update 2: Here’s an October 25th incident of violence manufactured by the Oakland Police Department against an Iraq war veteran for christ’s sake.

Update 3: Here’s Michael Moore suggesting in Denver that there are undercover occupy protesters working for the government. The AP report from November 4th can be read here.

Introducing Ryan THE Conservative!

I have no idea why this took so long – my bad – but, today marks the beginning of “Ryan THE Conservative” authoring posts on BccList.com as “perhapsim2right.” I’m truly excited to have another voice contribute to this once measly – still relatively insignificant – blog for several reasons…

a) A single extremely liberal voice posting to the blog provided an awkward dictatorship-like environment. There was unintentionally no conservative content from others besides the comment section.

b) I may disagree with 90% of Ryan’s political beliefs, but, have the utmost respect for his opinions. The ratio of his excellent points to those made by random visitors with conservative values is probably 1000 to 1. I’ll post some examples to the update section of this posting over the next few days when I get some time.

c) I’ve lost interest – for the most part – in politics since shortly after the inauguration. Ryan will undoubtedly spark a fire.

d) The Republican Party is in utter disarray in my opinion. Reference as of late: Newt (Meet the Press), Trump (birther), & Boehner (debt ceiling).  That’s not to say the GOP’s course won’t be corrected – rather, I can say with confidence there’s a lot that Ryan needs to vent about. There’s no better form of venting/therapy than putting your words in writing on the internet in my opinion.

e) I know Uncle Archie would be proud.

Bare with us. There will be a slight learning curve. But, I’m confident (or at least hope) you’ll find value in this joint posting effort on BccList.com regardless of your political beliefs. Ryan, my friend – thank you (sincerely) for your long time contributions as a BccList.com visitor…the stage as an author is all yours!

Where Are All the Pics/Vids of Osama bin Laden’s Dead Body?

Oookkkkaaaayyyy – Where are the bin laden pics? I’m more than confident he’s dead and I’m sure the photos are disturbing but…

A) We were forced to watch people jump from 100+ stories on 9/11.

and…

B) Some misguided 15 year old in Pakistan thinks he’ll die w/ 72 virgins. I’d rather he think about pics of bin Laden’s blown off face instead.

20110503-033246.jpg

P.S. I assure you the OBL pics & vids (in some form) will be released. This delay plus resulting upheaval is planned and yet another example of Obama’s weird strategy/communications efforts. That is… Wait, wait, wait, build suspense, incite an upheaval, and then act.

Reference the birther “issue” and this 2008 posting regarding Obama’s campaign team not hammering Hillary yet (they eventually did)…

The Release of “A Mild Form of Madness”

PRESALE is on now – release date 4/4. See links below for ordering info.

A former colleague of mine is releasing a book (sickly priced under $14). With certainty, it will be unique, interesting, thoughtful, humorous, etc, etc. Here’s a description from the author…

“Wanted to send a little shout and let you know that, if interested, Walton Street Publishing has it’s first title for sale, A Mild Form of Madness, which I’ve happened to piece together over… the better part of the past decade while rambling around with a pen and paper. I’m not about to tell you I’m the reincarnation of Emerson, but I will say that you may be inclined to have some laughs and be immersed into a very relative and detailed version of the world, and it’ll probably live up to or surpass the majority of reality television entertainment options beaming through the tube or the explosive-laden sexual thrillers at the theater. In other words, you’ll get your money’s worth, and feel some serious Chi-styled moments throughout the narrative. In all there are several hundred characters, some of which you may or may not recognize, and plenty of fluid moment.

So far as its construction goes, I’m glad to say it was printed and bound here in the States, in Michigan, where they can use the manufacturing, and the paper within is 100% recycled. The interior was edited by Joshua James Sopiarz, the front cover is a mixed media work done by local Chicago artist Ryan Antonio Karey, and the rear is a screen print produced by another Chicago artist, Jane Kathryn Cornell. All told it’s fairly alright lookin’ and unique…granted I’m obviously biased as a motherfucker, but still, it’s alright.

The first edition consists of 3500 copies in total, and they will all be hand numbered and signed. The piece is 360 pages in total…the writing only goes through 346, because I bought some extras: the final 14 are blank so as to provide a little space for people to use as a journal or sketchbook if so inclined.

So yeah, that’s about it. If interested, the book can be purchased at: www.waltonstreetpublishing.com or via the link on the Walton Street Publishing Facebook site, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Walton-Street-Publishing/243255280979.

Many thanks for hearing me out, I sincerely hope all of you are feeling well and enjoying life. Feel free to pass the word on this release to any people who love Chicago, mountains, animals, dig being outside, cycling, crime, love, hate, revenge, politics, religion, violence, wage slavery, delirious situational comedy, bad words, poetry, or hold mad love for their family and mates…if so they’ll probably dig this piece.

Stay cool n’ be well; love ya”

Libya: Barack Obama’s Camp David Accords?

Ugh – I’m going to be wordy. Bear with me. Therapeutic blog postings are my favorite as previously seen here and here. Alternatively, you can skip to the last few paragraphs (See: green font) if you’d rather not bore yourself with a bunch of text.

First

In my opinion, there’s nothing more important than (legitimately) earning excessive amounts of money and success. Nothing. We all (obviously) die. There’s (likely) no heaven. It seems smart to make as much money as needed to create your vision of heaven on planet earth. I’m not quite there yet but in due time…in due time. Whoever said money doesn’t buy happiness has neither had money nor happiness. I understand this is my own demented opinion but if you came from a lower middle class family or worse, I’m probably resonating quite well with you right now. Capitalism – if you will – is to be revisited in some form below though I just caught myself rambling almost incoherently. Ha!

Second

As mentioned here, I continue to think the Afghanistan War is necessary (for the very short time being – I.e. July 2011 as originally drafted by the administration) now that we have a competent commander-in-chief. Meaning, I’m not against conflict, war, spending money, killing innocent people, etc. for worthwhile objectives. That worthwhile objective being the execution of Osama Bin Laden.

Third

A potential ROI is the sole reason I supported the Iraq War. Yes, I supported the Iraq War. I didn’t care about liberating Iraqis – others did. I didn’t care about (not) finding WMDs – others did. I didn’t care about making the region more stable for the sole purpose of protecting Israel – others do.

As a capitalist, I cared that we maintain competitiveness with China by gaining access to Iraqi oil fields since they (smartly) dropped cash instead of bombs for access to Iranian (and eventually Iraqi) oil fields. In fact, I exhaustively supported the Iraq War all the way up until finding out we liberated their country and then were priced out of oil field contracts. At this point, I demanded a troop withdrawal. Thankfully, 2008’s election happened and no combat troops exist in Iraq today.

Since our invasion in 2003, I’ve become worldlier (I hope) and more compassionate. I’ve not only become a functioning adult but a – how do you say – pure capitalist. That is, make a good product and reap the benefits…not pile a bunch of garbage “assets” and sell them to an unsuspecting buyer. Or, fracking, destroying water wells, and making people sick in the name of making a buck. Or, murdering innocent people for access to oil fields.

Fourth

I’m a Barack Obama supporter. If you aren’t, check out whattheheckhasobamadonesofar.com. But, I won’t be volunteering/donating like ’08 because of his…

  • Cowardly handling of the Public Option. Have a backbone.
  • Idiotic tax cuts for the rich quid pro quo. Change you can believe in?
  • Willingness to sit on the sidelines as unions took a thrashing. Sure you’re a democrat, brah?
  • And now his insane decision to attack Libya…

I’m staunchly against trying to liberate the world when we are firing teachers, recklessly consolidating school districts, eliminating band/art programs, cutting after school programs/sports, stripping collective bargaining rights, etc. in the name of (supposedly) balancing budgets.

If we’re going to spend an estimated $1 billion per month in order to earn – let’s say – $2 billion in oil profits, I understand (didn’t say support) attacking Libya. For those that have made it this far in the posting, I’m cognizant of the fact that this could come off as heartless. But, as mentioned above ad nauseum, I’m a capitalist (yes, in favor of extremely robust social services) so I understand (again, didn’t say support) such a mindset.

All of this said, Obama hasn’t stated an acceptable reason to attack Libya. If it’s to make a few billion dollars, be honest and say it…I’d respect that. If it’s to save the people of Libya, may I suggest we start first by saving the people of Gary, IN? Then take a little road trip over to Detroit. Maybe a swing through Cleveland on the way to Newark would be a smart idea too. Once we’ve saved the people of America and have a budget surplus – ha – I’m all for liberating the world one fcked up Middle Eastern country at a time. Or, lest we forget, Tibet and Darfur are pretty jacked up too.

Yes, I’m finally getting to my point…

A majority of Americans don’t care about the Middle East. At all. Actually, that’s wrong – some Americans do care about the Middle East in one capacity: Conquering it. Reference the (original) 70% approval ratings of both the Iraq War and these Libyan attacks.

Carter learned our Middle Eastern disinterest the hard way with a 20ish% approval rating, landslide loss in 1980, and one of the most misinterpreted presidential legacies of all-time. As Carter was wasting day after day at Camp David trying to negotiate a treaty with two groups of people that will instinctively NEVER get along, gas prices were skyrocketing, inflation was on the rise, and unemployment was upwards of 10%.

Sound familiar, Mr. Obama? Glad to see you back in DC – can I suggest a trip to Detroit as soon as possible? I’ll host…we can talk about capitalism, oil profits, humanitarianism, etc. over some Shawarma and Sam Adams.

VIDEO: The Situation Roasts Donald Trump FAIL!

Even though just over 5 minutes long and sub par quality (especially in the beginning), the below clip is worth every awkward second. Fortunately for The Situation, nobody watches roasts anymore after say – Courtney Love’s…

P.S. I said to my wife when The Situation was on Conan a few weeks ago that I don’t think he’s cut out for comedy. This definitely confirms my theory. I know, I know – I shouldn’t…but, I feel a little bad for the dude.  Ok, he’ll get over it.
