My buddy Gdo comes through again.
So…
Yet another reason MSU needs to beat UCLA on Thursday.
At least she didn’t start with the earthquake/tsunami.
FWIW – My buddy Gdo (Chinese) says she’s likely annoyed with Koreans.

I finally realized who Scott Walker reminds me of – Michael Scott. And, it’s not just looks or name.
While those looking in from the outside wonder, “Seriously…are you kidding me?” – both are on a power trip, equally clueless/sloppy, and definitely in love with themselves and/or cause no matter how idiotic. The Reagan part of this prank call is a good example. There’s no way Walker really thinks the Soviets gave two cares about Reagan laying off Air Traffic Controllers, right? Palin wouldn’t have even said this line, right?
Difference: Scott’s at least funny – Michael Scott that is. And, he’s not a real life person making very important decisions. Walker is thankfully screwed in 2012 (recall) or 2014 (re-election) bid.

I’m a fan of getting emails from my buddy Gdo. There’s 0% chance the accompanying links will be a waste of time. For example…
Note: My buddy sent me the originals but Part 2 – the fighting/exposed thong scene – was yanked before I could download it. Above vid is via Boston Barstool Sports.
Update:
As noted above, here’s Part 2 that was yanked from YouTube…
This fairly comprehensive list was forwarded by my mom – I like it (but am not forwarding on for good luck)…
HANDBOOK 2011
Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.

4. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy.
5. Play more games.
6. Read more books than you did in 2010.
7. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
8. Sleep for 7 hours.
9. Take a 10-30 minute walk daily. And while you walk, smile.
Personality:
10. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
11. Don’t have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
12. Don’t overdo it. Keep your limits.
13. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
14. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
15. Dream more while you are awake.
16. Envy is a waste of time.
17. Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner with His/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
18. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Do not hate others.
19. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
20. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

Life:
31. Do the right thing!
32. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
33. However bad a situation is, it will change…
34. No matter how you feel, get up in the morning, dress up and show up.
35. The best is yet to come…
36. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy…
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/wal-mart-slips-after-jp-morgan-downgrade-2011-02-14?dist=afterbell
JP Morgan downgrades Walmart because – amongst other reasons – economic improvement. Meaning, shoppers will buy elsewhere. While I’m generally bullish on the economy going back to March 2009, an unemployment/under employment just short of 20% of the population is disheartening and I will speculate people aren’t flocking to the local convenience store for some Tide.
Walmart generally isn’t a stock I would consider given its trading bands. However, since I am guessing their Q4 results will beat/meet expectations when announced next week – Christmas shopping was up – a buy at $54.88 (or less) could earn some short term cash.
Ummm – what’s that, Serene? Rumor – highly unconfirmed – is that she headed to the hospital shortly after the botch job. Blooper or something more serious?
At least Serene didn’t look as ridiculous as Governor Jan Brewer (how did she become governor again!??!?!?!?) did here…

A facebook friend posted this pic and I think it’s cool…

The original LivingSocial concealed weapon license discount posting can be seen here.
I’m ULTRA impressed by the below follow-up from LivingSocial. Not because of the follow-up itself, but, because…
a) the thoroughness/research taken (see below).
b) the conciseness/effectiveness of the messaging.
c) the inclusion of an apology. I didn’t demand, expect, or need one but it’s shocking/refreshing to see any company, politician, public figure, human, etc, etc, etc mention fault and apologize.
d) the deal being shut down.
Again, I’m not against gun ownership. I’m not against deals on a concealed weapon license – it’s completely legal in Michigan. I was against the timing.

Subject: Our Apologies
Good afternoon,
We caught your blog post (nice customization!), and we’re hoping to reach out to you about our mistake. We apologize that our recent deal offering for Action Impact was offensive.
In running this offer, our intent was not to offend our customers or to minimize the unfortunate events that recently took place in Arizona. We greatly respect and value our customers, and as such, we have shut down this deal.
Again, we offer a humble apology and ensure you that we will give additional consideration in moving forward with the types of deals we select and when (my originally noted concern!) they are offered.
Sincerely,
Sara
Update 1: It seems that the deal hasn’t been scrubbed from LivingSocial (yet). I wonder if marking it as Sold Out means – as Sara mentioned – the deal was shut down. Regardless, the crude imagery still exists on LivingSocial less than one week after 6 people were murdered in AZ.

Update 2: LivingSocial surely likes to sell the hell out of gun licensing classes. Again, gun classes obviously aren’t illegal – a simple observation…
Yesterday’s Detroit Deal:

Follow-up from LivingSocial at bottom of this posting
Well, at least the deal wasn’t for Tucson.
Imagery of a person taking target practice like Jared Loughner did less than a week ago in a desert before spraying bullets outside of a Safeway seems distasteful given current day events, right? Too soon, LivingSocial? No – of course not…it’s never too soon to make some dough!
Note – as ridiculous as desiring a concealed weapon license is, I have no issue with gun ownership. While I’d rather die than live thinking a gun will keep me safe, too each their own.
I ask you: “Do the rigors of 2011 already have you feeling pistol-whipped?” Click the below thumbnail 3 or 4 times to see the full size image/text…
Update: An excellent follow-up from LivingSocial can be seen here.
Classic…and fitting after the Jim Harbaugh disaster.

If you don’t follow University of Michigan athletics, Dave Brandon is their AD. He was formerly CEO at Dominos. He handled the firing of Rich Rodriguez and hiring a replacement a complete joke. Bottom line: Dominos pizza sucks (plus their employees wipe their ass with the dough) and U of M is scrambling to ask the ugly duckling to the dance now that Harbaugh is with the 49ers.
Thanks, Johnson…
Everybody deserves a 2nd chance. Well, everybody other than Michael Vick. It’s fortunate that he’s REALLY good at football.
Regardless, I guess this is Dickie V. awkwardly giving Delco Rowley a second chance via some twitter props?
http://twitter.com/DickieV/status/15776459473813504
Or, more likely, Dick Vitale is oblivious to these charges…

Anyone know if Delco was convicted? Coudn’t find anything. If not, wow – that’s a lawyer.
Screen grabs for when Dickie V yanks the tweet/photo…
The gunman’s agenda seems fueled by tax increases (and subsequent cuts) required to balance a school district’s budget. This blood is on your hands, Fox News + Glenn Beck + 9/11 Truthers + Obama Birthers. And, V For Vendetta. And, Anonymous. Welcome to the world we live in. The world I’ve been warning against since about 6 months after Obama got sworn into office.
As mentioned here, where was this insane group of people – hopefully they would have acted saner – when Bush was actually screwing our country and personal liberties?
P.S. The lead “negotiator” – Superintendent Bill Husfelt – did a hell of a job. His supporting cast not so much. Nor, would I have performed well under the circumstances. This could have been a lot more of a fcked up situation.
