Like missing the Obama iPhone App story from yesterday, I don’t know how this one slipped by my radar…
Jesus christ – and I try not to over use the JC bomb – but, did she really just say that the worst thing cheney was part of was a duck hunting accident? Seriously? How about the Valerie Plame CIA leak scandal? Oh my god.
I can assure you that the mccain camp is relieved this Couric segment has concluded. Ouch.
As mentioned by the NY Times here on showcased on Digg yesterday here (I somehow missed the Digg story), the Obama camp recently released a new iPhone App. My overly bias political viewpoints aside, this campaign knows how to use technology.
Along with my Election 08, WordPress, Pandora, and Facebook App, this is definitely one of my favorite Apps in terms of functionality. It is those years of experience on an executive level that will be put to good use in the White House also.”

Unpack, plugin, use for a few months, notice a buzzing sound, remove the Fn key (sort of made it better), remove the white plastic layer thing that was under the key (sort of made it better), and finally solve the buzzing problem by wedging a piece of paper from an Orbit chewing gum pack in the keyboard.
Needless to say, we’re both PC converts for life…

So, it looks like the bailout plan MUST be passed. This is not capitalism.
“Federal regulators on Wednesday extended an unprecedented ban against all short-selling in the shares of more than 800 financial companies, keeping it in place at least until after Congress enacts a massive financial bailout plan.
The Securities and Exchange Commission announced the extension of the ban, which was put in on Sept. 18 in a bid to shore up investor confidence in the face of the spiraling market crisis.
The ban, which was to expire Thursday, now will last until the third business day after enactment of the $700 billion financial bailout plan now before Congress. It will end no later than Oct. 17.”

But, palin didn’t go completely silent. Rather, she decided after rambling for awhile to not answer Couric’s question. Meaning, she couldn’t cite any SPECIFIC Supreme Court decision that she didn’t agree with. Her response was sort of like what Andrew Halcro mentioned earlier in his article seen on BccList.com here.
Here’s palin’s most recent diarrhea of the mouth episode…
“Couric: Why, in your view, is Roe v. Wade a bad decision?
Palin: I think it should be a states issue not a federal government-mandated, mandating yes or no on such an important issue. I’m, in that sense, a federalist, where I believe that states should have more say in the laws of their lands and individual areas. Now, foundationally, also, though, it’s no secret that I’m pro-life that I believe in a culture of life is very important for this country. Personally that’s what I would like to see, um, further embraced by America.
Couric: Do you think there’s an inherent right to privacy in the Constitution?
Palin: I do. Yeah, I do.
Couric: The cornerstone of Roe v. Wade.
Palin: I do. And I believe that individual states can best handle what the people within the different constituencies in the 50 states would like to see their will ushered in an issue like that.
Couric: What other Supreme Court decisions do you disagree with?
Palin: Well, let’s see. There’s, of course in the great history of America there have been rulings, that’s never going to be absolute consensus by every American. And there are those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know, going through the history of America, there would be others but
Couric: Can you think of any?
Palin: Well, I could think of any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level. Maybe I would take issue with. But, you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a vice president, if I’m so privileged to serve, wouldn’t be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today.”
P.S. Biden didn’t sh!t the bed when Couric tried her “gotcha journalism” on him during the same segment so that’s good.
